All Girls Vacation

The girls need R&R. My female cousins and I decided that we need an out of town R&R, after our meeting we decided to head to North Carolina on spring. We all agree to rent a vacation home so we all stay in one place. It's my duty to check for rentals. I checked on online for outer banks vacation rentals because I've heard it from my friends that they offer a lot of choices for our different needs.
I cannot wait for this trip, all girls. It will be so much fun; we still have to plan for our activities to be done.

My husband keeps asking me if I don't get bored watching Foodnetwork everyday and almost all daylong. As a frustrated chef my answer is no, I enjoy foodnetwork so much and watch the re-run shows over and over again.
Now I get hooked of "The next Iron Chef," I wish chef Mehta will win the competition. He is a very interesting guy, and I like his attitude. I like the way he represent his dishes on different culture and he knows his spices.
Good Luck Chef Mehta. Be the next "Iron Chef."

I am self proclaimed Yo ville Addict! Recently I've tried my luck on joining the contest, I admit that I am not so good on playing with my mind using limited resources. I was so amazed by this people who made a wonderful piece of art out of different items, they are just natural artist.
I have joined the contest and this is my 3rd entry than landed on 8Th place. I am so happy that I stayed on top 10, this piece is my motivation to create another entries.
I know beauty is in the eyes of the beholder. I think my "snow man" that look like Pillsbury dough boy is cute. lol

Mass Notification

I am so glad that one of our Big Universities here started this school alert system. This is important for the student especially in a big campus and with big population; this system will help inform the student through their cellular phone about any bad incident in their campus like for instant fire or critical situations like what happened at Virginia Tech. No one wants this things to happen but this system will help save lives, hopefully all school will have this system.

2012

I'm sure most of us have heard and watch documentaries about this subject 2012 the dooms day or the end of the world. this theory is based on the MAYAN calendar that said to end on December 21 2012. Hopi and Mayan have similarities that the fifth world which is our modern world will end soon. Not just that, based on Nostradamus though he didn't gave a specific date but he foretold the signs of dooms days. Also Hindu Indian text point to a doomsday which is similar to Mayans prediction.
As of now, all we can do is wait and see. 2012 is few years from now and if ever there is a catastrophic event that will wipe out the entire human race on that date as also said on the Bible Revelation, maybe that's our fate and we can do nothing about it. We saw the signs around us but we remain skeptic.
In my own point of view, if that's our fate then that's it. Because I believe if there is beginning then there's always be ending.

Laptop Memory

My old laptop still works well though I need to change its memory. I was looking for laptop memory, I checked on some online computer store but I was not so happy with their price. My last resort is buy.com, good thing they have the kind I need and the price is unbeatable.

Thanksgiving

We're talking turkey cause it's Thanksgiving in two weeks time. I was at the store yesterday, I get surprise that people are starting to get their turkeys so early, does it take 2 weeks to thew a turkey?
Well, I might try a deep friend turkey this year or a beer can turkey. I'll just pick up a small turkey since it's only me and my husband, for sure we will have plenty of left over turkey. I already have left over turkey menu like turkey sandwich and turkey ala king or turkey pot pie, sound yum. I might also make pumpkin pie or pumpkin pie cheesecake. No stuffing for this year but I will have sweet yum and mashed potato, lol I'm already drooling thinking of Thanksgiving dinner.

Get a GPS

My husband needs a gps for his nature of work where he goes to his clients houses. Oahu is a small island that you can say we don't need GPS here but there's so many streets, usually we scan a local map book before he go to a certain place or I print out a map quest but it's a lot of hassle. One time we used his phone GPS system that we found out it's so convenient and expensive for their one day service. I decided to get him a GPS device which is same brand of his marine GPS.

Where is the RAIN?

I was waiting for the rainy weather today as they forecast and posted a flash flood warning around the state. It rained a little yesterday afternoon but not enough to keep my garden happy. So where is the rain and the stormy weather? Most of the time their weather forecast is so wrong though it is so windy today but sunny and bright not a drop of rain. I'm still waiting for the rain to come, my garden need a good dose of rain, hopefully we will have a soaking wet weather tonight.
